This past month, Jane attended the Genesis Project opening in Washington, D.C. (http://genesisdc.org) Generations of Hope Model at Genesis developed by Mi Casa includes young women aging out of foster care with children sharing with seniors, who are the wrap around support network for the community. The residents join the community knowing that volunteering is part of the community model. The mayor from Washington, DC, and other officials commemorated the opening. Mark Dunham from Generations of Hope provided the needed coordination to transform a building project into an intentional community. Jane Rohde of JSR was recognized as the programmer and assisted with design elements needed for supportive environments for the Generations of Hope model.
