Jane Rohde founded and chaired the Senior Living Sustainability Guide® (SLSG)committee with a group of volunteers that created a sustainability guide for senior living projects that has been accessed for utilization in over 10 countries. The SLSG was used to develop the first person-centered nursing home and adult day care center in China called Cypress Garden. The SLSG is a process guide that supports the evaluation of resident desired outcomes, owner mission and values, and operational needs; all supported by the physical environment within a social-cultural context. The Guide is available for free at www.withseniorsinmind.org. Senior Living Sustainability Guide® 2.0 is currently being revised for peer review.
