JSR Associates, Inc. has been a part of Opportunity Village’s multidisciplinary and creative team that promotes a dedication and passion for person-centered care models. Through discovery workshops held at the Opportunity Village Oakey Campus in Las Vegas, Nevada, where the developmentally and intellectually disabled participants desired outcomes were identified; and functional and physical space program and operational flows were evaluated – the workshop outcomes were directly transferable for the newly renovated center. Through a collaborative team approach with LGA Architects, the proposal work for the new center included the assessment of a detailed programming process and assistance with design for the special needs population and review of documents.

JSR is currently developing, designing, and establishing a complete wayfinding, signage and donor wall package that promotes and aligns with the mission and goals of Opportunity Village – Oakey Campus, a day program for an ID / DD population including Pride (full care), Enable (ability recognition and skill development), and ERC (a work center). The package will assist visitors, participants, and staff with directions; utilizing landmarks and themed signage that includes original artwork from participants, architectural details found throughout the building, and local culture and history of the organization.
