The Live Together Community concept is longevity in action — providing a training and research center for those organizations brave enough and committed to changing how we serve and care for our elders.

Live Together is an Intergenerational Community Model that supports the intersection of supporting youth to succeed and older adults who desire to continue to have purposeful and meaningful lives throughout their retirement.

The concept is replicable for various types of settings; part of an existing senior living community that is repositioning for the future to integrate multiple generations and integration with the community at-large, on the campus of an existing Children’s Home or similar group home development to engage at-risk youth, older adults, families and the surrounding community, and as a redevelopment concept for existing sites; such a former malls, golf courses, or downtown revitalization sites located in Opportunity Zones.

COMMUNITY MISSION

The concept of Live Together™ is an intergenerational model of life proposed to be co-located with various types of settings and adaptable to the site, needs, and population.

The Live Together™ community mission is to bring together multiple generations and create an Engagement Center that provides an opportunity to support work force development, education, and research for care providers, front line staff, and participation by residents.

Recycling for the Future

We’ve all heard of the phrase “Reduce, Reuse, Recycle,” but are we actually doing it? Now more than ever it seems like plastics and trash are turning up in our oceans and wild lands, endangering animals and our planet. People come up with excuses why they can’t recycle, and big corporations are taking the easier and cheaper way out of using sustainable materials. Why is it important to recycle? Watch the video below where environmental activist Wyn Wiley (Pattie Gonia) visits Hawaii and sees the massive amounts of trash on the beaches first hand.

Ditch one use plastics. Get a reusable water bottle. Say no to plastic straws. Don’t use styrofoam. Recycle your cans and bottles. Don’t release balloons outside. Pick up your cigarette butt. We have to do better!
